Extend the reservation time by given no of minutes for an ongoing appointment booking

Extend the reservation time by given no of minutes for an ongoing appointment booking. Making an appointment starts with reserving the time slot for the appointment. The appointment booking ends with a confirmation of the appointment slot. If the appointment reservation is not confirmed within a default no of minutes (mostly 10 minutes) then the appointment booking is invalid and the time slot is freed to use for another appointment reservation.

The following are the important attributes to note in the return statement. Created plus the two LockTimeOutMinutes-attributes form the time for how long the appointment booking slot is reserved until a confirmation is needed.

  • created the start timestamp for creating appointment, which is start of reserving the appointment slot

  • appointmentLockTimeOutMinutes the default no. of minutes for reserving appointment slot from created until the appointment reservation must be confirmed

  • extendedLockTimeOutMinutes the given value of the parameter sent to this method.

  • extendedLockTimeOut the timestamp when the reservation appointment slot must be confirmed. This timestamp is the sum of created timestamp with addition of appointmentLockTimeOutMinutes and extendedLockTimeOutMinutes
